Revitalize Your Body

     

 I am an illustrator and work on my computer most of the time. Long working hours cause the painful, persistent stiffness of my shoulders, which makes it difficult to carry out the full range of normal shoulder movements, back pain and headaches as well as numb fingers. In the past the back pain and other problems kept getting worse and didn’t seem to be responding to normal exercises. I was advised to use Bowen therapy and in this way I met Randy Barber. He used a combination of Bowen and massage to release my muscle tension, which really worked. I felt relaxed and flexible not tense. After couple of treatments, I do not have pains and numbness in my hands any more. He also advised me different set of exercises that I do between treatments. From this time I go to see Randy regularly, which helps me to control my pain and tense shoulders. I know that I can rely on him. He knows which muscles I managed to abuse and what is the best treatment for it. He also gives a good advice regarding post treatment exercises and other resources which can help me. Although he is a male therapist I always feel very confident with him knowing that I get the best professional service. I recommended him to many friends knowing that they get real, professional help and advice."

 I had suffered with back pain (I'm 6'7'') for years and had initially thought that remedial massage was something that only "other people" did. I happened across Randy's services in a local holistic health centre, and eventually wondered, after having had a number of recommendations from others who worked there whether there might be some merit in remedial massage after all... I was initially nervous, but Randy allowed me to feel at ease from the get-go, warmly welcoming me and taking great care in attentively assessing my needs. Randy explained all that he was intending to do as part of my massage, and kept me informed as to what and why he was doing throughout the hour - I felt very much 'included' in the treatment, and I feel this is a real gift Randy has - friendly, professional and engaging. Randy's fee was very reasonable I felt for the service offered. I began to feel some improvements from the first week; I felt I had more mobility in my right knee and my base of my spine felt less sore. And, yes, it felt lovely to be massaged too! I have since returned for a massage to keep me "topped up" as it were (I think of it as an MOT!) and to help keep me flexible now that I've taken up running. I feel greatly privileged to have been the beneficiary of what Randy has offered, and intend to carry on using his services as and when I feel I need them. I cannot recommend Randy enough.
